Wilstead Players’ Newsletter – Stop Press

It is with regret that I have to report, as a result of a Resolution put to all assembled at the Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, the 26th June 2024, it was agreed to dissolve Wilstead Players, but all assets be retained for the foreseeable future.  This was as a result of a vote being taken from all eligible persons present; with seven votes for the motion, one against and four abstensions.

As preliminary arrangements had commenced, it is possible the Murder Mystery Dinner will still take place in the autumn.  A ‘caretaker’ group of people from the Meeting was formed to continue this forward.  I will notify everybody when more information is available.

A very valid suggestion was put forward at the Meeting, although a thought had been there before, that this drama group amalgamate with another with like interests.  The caretaker group will consider this and report back to an Extraordinary Meeting, or its like, in the future’.
