Wilstead Players’ Newsletter – December 2022

So as we approach the end of another year, we hope if you haven’t been entirely Covid-free, that you have been able to enjoy the year with a certain amount of normality.

We shall be resurrecting a tradition commenced some years ago and be singing Carols around the Christmas Tree in the foyer of the Village Hall, Cotton End Road, Wilstead, on Wednesday 14th December at 7 o’clock.  Again we shall be enjoying mince pies and mulled wine and all are welcome to come and join us to get into the Christmas spirit.

Meanwhile weekly rehearsals for our May production of “They Came From Mars….” by David McGillivray and Walter Zerlin Jnr are now taking place and causing much hilarity amongst the cast and crew.  It really is a very funny play.

As with most other amateur dramatic groups, we are now considering using an online booking system. This would be introduced next spring for this May production, but we will give more details nearer the time.

Obviously, we are always trying to think ahead for future productions and we are looking to hold another production in the autumn of 2023.  Details are being formulated, so watch this space.

May I, on behalf of Wilstead Players, take this opportunity to wish all our members, patrons and friends a very merry Christmas and a Happy and Peaceful New Year in these difficult times.
