From Sunday 9th April tickets will be available for our very funny Farndale play ‘They Came From Mars and Landed Outside the Farndale Avenue Church Hall in Time for the Townswomen’s Guild’s Coffee Morning’ by David McGillivray and Walter Zerlin Jnr. Forgive the extremely long title, but there is a joke in there somewhere!
For the first time we are making tickets for this production available online so all you need to do to get your tickets is to visit the Wilstead Players’ website and choose ‘Tickets’ from the toolbar (if no toolbar appears on the screen click on the three little horizontal lines at the top right of the screen). You can select which evening – Thursday 11th, Friday 12th or Saturday 13th May – and which seats you require.
As it is our first attempt to use an online booking service, as so many other drama groups already do, and we trust everything will work smoothly. The special Thursday night performance will be a Charity event on behalf of Rotary International’s ‘End Polio Now’ Campaign, supported by the Rotary District of Beds, Bucks and Herts.
Those of you who are regular Players’ supporters will recognise the Farndale Avenue Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society. In this play they attempt a unique production of a sci-fi thriller, but, needless to say, high tech effects going awry and the limited talents of some group members ensure the cast don’t achieve lift-off. As ever, the resourceful Mrs Reece brilliantly circumnavigates pitfalls as she steers the cast into orbit and through space to a genteel tea on Mars.
It makes for another hilarious outing for the Farndale ladies, and not one to be missed. Do come along for a good laugh.
